Simulator Booking 2010
PCI, TAVI, EP and ECHO SIMULATOR TRAINING FOR SPECIALIST REGISTRARS, FELLOWS AND CONSULTANTS
Simulator training sessions in percutaneous coronary intervention, Transcatheter aortic valve implantation, Electrophisiology and Transoesophageal echo will be available at this year's Annual Scientific Conference.
PCI
Simulator training in PCI will be available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the conference in the Exhibition area. There will be training in a range of interventional techniques from basic angiography and vascular access (aimed at SpRs years 1 - 3) with general PCI (aimed at SpRs years 3 to 4) and more complex PCI including IVUS and bifurcation (aimed at SpRs years 5 to 6 and Fellows) . On all days, “one-to one” supervised sessions of 40 minutes will be available, which need to be booked in advance on the booking form below. There will also be supervised “drop-in” sessions on each day which can be arranged on the day. Booking ahead is recommended.
TAVI
For the first year, we will be offering training using the core-valve simulator. This will be available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and is aimed at senior SpRs and consultants and all sessions need to be booked ahead of time.
EP
Simulator training in EP will be available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the conference, covering a range of techniques including LV lead placement, ICD and pacemaker programming,and complex mapping. Sessions need to be booked in advance on the form below. A limited number of drop-in sessions will be available on the day.
ECHO
Two Transoesophageal echo simulators will be available for one-to-one training on Monday and Tuesday. Sessions need to be booked in advance on the form below. A limited number of drop-in sessions will also be available on the day.
