PCI, EP and ECHO SIMULATOR TRAINING FOR SPECIALIST REGISTRARS

Simulator training sessions in percutaneous coronary intervention, Transoesophageal echo and Electrophisiology will be available for specialist registrars at this year's Annual Conference.

PCI
Simulator training will be available on Monday and Tuesday of the conference in the Exhibition area. There will be training in a range of interventional techniques including general PCI which is trans-radial interventions, bifurcations and IVUS, the latter two being more relevant to SpRs years 5 to 6. On both days, “one-to one” supervised sessions of about 40 minutes will be available, which need to be booked in advance on the booking form below.

EP
On Wednesday all the simulators are dedicated to training in Electrophysiology. There will be an opportunity to practice a range of techniques including ICD implantation, trans-septal puncture and lead placement and catheter placement.

ECHO
A Transoesophageal echo simulator will be available for one-to-one training on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, appropriate for SpRs years 1-6. Sessions need to be booked in advance on the form below.

There will also be supervised “drop-in” sessions on each day for group training on all the machines during the Exhibition breaks.
