2009 and 2010 Cardiology Review Courses
Overview of the 2010 Cardiology Review CourseClick here to download the 2010 programme for the courseThe second British Cardiovascular Society and Mayo Clinic Cardiology Review Course successfully ran at 8 to 12 March, at the RCP in London. The course was delivered by a large expert faculty and covered all the key areas in cardiovascular medicine (see programme below for full details). The emphasis was on practical clinically based knowledge and the course was taught in lecture format with faculty from the Mayo Clinic in the USA alongside UK speakers. We had over 260 delegates, 25% of these came from outside of the UK. The 2010 programme was expanded to cover a session on the Knowledge Based Assessment in Cardiovascular Medicine, a mandatory exam for UK Cardiology Trainees. Here are just a few of the hugely positive comments we received from 2010 delegates: - "This has been an absolutely fabulous experience. I am just in awe over the number of splendid speakers! I don't have to take a KBA as I work in Denmark but the course is fantastic because the content is so applicable to daily clinical practice. Thank you!" - "Excellent course - A good review of cardiology, not just for KBA but for cardiology practice in general, and a good 'primer' for further reading in all of the topics covered. Also gave excellent 'tips' from the experts that can be readily applied to clinical practice" - "This has been one of the best courses I have attended. The course content, speakers, venue (splendid building and food). The course content was excellent and comprehensive. I enjoyed every minute of the course. Thank you for giving an opportunity to attend this course."
