Divisions & Committees
The work of BCS is split into 5 divisions, as follows:
Each Division is headed by an elected Vice President (or the President), who is a member of the Society. Within each division there are a number of Committees that are responsible for reviewing and directing their set areas of BCS’ work. Honorary Secretary
The BCS also has an Honorary Secretary, who works closely with the President and Staff to ensure we meet our objectives. To find out more about the work of the Honorary Secretary, click here.
Working Groups
In addition to the committees, the BCS also has a number of working groups that are created to look at evolving issues or to work on one-off projects, such as the National Variations Working Group that was formed to produce a report on the National Variations in the provision of Cardiac Services in the UK.
